Regan sits down with her mentor from college, Dr. O’Connor, to discuss Happiness in the Brain. Dr O’Connor is a leisure educator at Pensacola University in Florida..

This fact-filled podcast shines light on not only the history of brain research, but also the anatomy of the brain that controls mood and personality traits. Dr. O’Connor also touches on the physical effects that happiness can have on the body.

Happiness is not some unobtainable, all-important thing to be desired and pursued, but a temporary, positive signal from our brain.

To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it?
